Hmmm I went ahead and merged the 800+ scans from
fachada 01b.csv and translated/rotated to give a better view.
If I understand your description, the Sweep is pitched 90 degrees to yield a vertical 2D scan plane rather than a bird's eye view. There is a 12 meter tall concrete wall, corresponding to the right side of the image above. There is odd behavior in the scan starting from about 7m up the wall, and likely elsewhere in the scan. In general, this scan looks abnormal and I'm struggling to think of an environmental condition that would explain the output. If you have one, a reference picture of the scene would aid in comprehension.
What version of the sweep firmware are you using? The latest v1.4?
Was the scanner moved at all during calibration? When the scanner starts up, or after changing motor speed, it performs a brief calibration routine. For the duration of this routine, the blue LED on the face of the device will blink on and off. Perturbing the sensor during this calibration routine can cause unexpected anomalies in the output data. I don't have enough information to tell if this is related to the issues present in your scans, but in general keep an eye out for the calibration phase.
