Short version: my sweep is detecting a 15cm away object as about 90cm.
Long version: My sweep is installed at the centre of my piDrone. All distances under 50cm are ignored as part of the frame to which it's fixed. Up to 100cm is counted as the critical zone, triggering landing. In the passive testing indoors today, I have nothing within about 1.5m yet occasionally (twice in 120 loops) it spots a critical target at 96.9775 degrees listed below. Note it's exactly 96.9775 degrees both times.
CRITICAL: 0.970000m @ 96.937500 degrees.
CRITICAL: 0.960000m @ 96.937500 degrees.
What's interesting is my white plastic WiFi antenna hangs about 15cm vertically from the Sweep approximately 90 degrees from the sweeps; it is ignored as it's less than my 50cm; however I think what's happening is a 6 times reflection is occasionally producing a hit in the critical zone!
Is this plausible, and if so, is there a configuration option to tune the laser? All settings are defaults currently. Worst case, I could just add the WiFi antenna azimuth to the ignore zone in the code.
Thanks in advance for any ideas / comments.
