Sweep has been working great for a couple of weeks now then started to see the laser scan in rviz going haywire then snapping back into place. Further investigation I saw the blue light changing to red when this happened. Its gotten progressively worse. Now its not really usable. Sounds a little weird when its turning. Ticking sounds and sounds like a bearing is bad or something similar. Could it be the dongle? Red light indicates internal communication problem according to manual. Is this USB comms or the link between sensor and outside that is not working?

Just submitted one. Do you think its worth substituting a different usb dongle or does that red light indicate a problem further upstream?
