Apologies if this has already been addressed.
I am currently using low-altitude (UAV-based) aerial photography for Digital Elevation Model (DEM) production from point clouds generated using SfM. Our uses (geomorphological and geological mapping) do not require anything better than decimeter accuracy - hence my interest in Scanse.
As I have no experience with LiDAR my questions may be trivial. How could I retrieve the point cloud data produced by the scanse in a standard point cloud format i.e. las/laz? Could the data be readily georeferenced? How do we correct for changes in altitude of the platform i.e drone height changes as opposed to mapped surface height change?
I will probably buy one of these for experimentation anyway but I am eager to hear your response.
