Alternative 3d scanner kits

Hi everyone,

I have several Sweep 2D sensors, and am planing to purchase several 3d scanner kits to upgrade those 2D sensors to 3D sensors for a school project.

However, the order link directs to a webpage (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/14482) saying that the 3d scanner kit is retired. Are there any other alternative 3d scanner kits that fit with the existing 2D Sweep sensors, please? And when will a new version of the 3D scanner kit be available, please?

So - I missed out on the kit as well. I went ahead and acquired all the parts Individually. I have a 3D printer so can print the parts that need to be 3d printed - but if you don't have one you can always use shapeways or similar.

The parts bill - before the 3D printing - was about $250 or so.

Does the list (https://www.hackster.io/scanse/sweep-3d-scanner-035a5f ) include all the components and are the 3D files updated, please?

So I went back thru the instructions and I think everything is there. There were a few screws that were gonna be a long lead time on amazon so I got them from McMaster instead.

Files are printing OK using what’s on Thingiverse - and the battery pack from the parts list fits beautifully in the base...that's as far as I've got really.

FWIW - I was able to complete my scanner using that parts list and it works!

Hi,
Is there any other place where I could purchase the full kit?
It would be very good to be able to purchase the full DIY kit, instead creating it from parts that you buy here and there.
